Sarah (Root) Bardwell, wife of Job Bardwell was a member of the Congregational Church in Shelburne before 1814. Sarah & Job had several children including:Salmatius (or Salmanus), Elihu, Sarah, Polly, Rufus, Job, Patty and Dorcas (b. ca. 1786-95). Dorcas married Elijah Winchell (b. ca 1793, probably in Essex, Chittenden Co., son of Jonathan and Ursula Winchell). I am trying to find: 1 Any marriage records for Dorcas Bardwell/Bordwell and Elijah Winchell (probably before 1814) ? 2 References to the Bardwell/Bordwell family in Congregational Church records ? 3 References anywhere for this family in Chittenden Co ?
