Brown, Esq., Mr. Zebina S. Taylor to Miss Hannah Greene, formerly of Brandon, VT. - ---------------------------- DIED In this town, on the 2d inst. Jane Riddle, aged 8 years. Her death was occasioned by her clothes taking fire fifteen weeks previous. - ------------------------------ In Essex, on the 18th inst. Widow Olive Hatch, in the 70th year of her age. -------------------------- In New York City on the 17th inst. Colonel Henry Rutgers, in the 85th year of his age. Col. R. was one of those patriots of the Revolution, who espoused and defended the cause of Liberty. - ----------------------------- Friday 5th March 1830 MARRIED In Rurland on the 28th----------------------Walker, Mr. William H. Elmore of Peru to Miss Julia S. Ruggles. - ---------------------------- In Shrewsbury, on the 27th ult by the Rev. Mr. Hopkins, Mr. Eliakim G. Johnson, Merchant of Wallingford, to Miss Emeline Robinson. - ------------------------------ In Fairfax, Mr. Allen L. Nichols, of Plattsburgh, N.Y. to Miss Maria Soules, daughter of Josiah N. Soules, Esq. of the former place. - ------------------------------------------- DIED In this town on Wesnesday last, an infant child of Mr. Frederick Orvis, aged 10 mo. --------------------------- In Wiliston, on the 5th ult, Widow Rhoda Shaw, aged 75. - -------------------------- At Jefferson's Barracks, Mobile, on the 19th ult. in the 21st year of his age, Lieut. Charles May, of the 16th Reg. U.S. Infantry; a native of Vermont, and a graduate of the Military Academy of July last. He fell in a duel. - --------------------------------------- At Marsailes, in France, on the 2d of Jan last, Nathaniel H. Carter, Esq. of N.Y. City and it tells more about him. - ----------------------------- In Spanish Town, (Jamaica), on the 21st November Mrs. Judith Crawford, aged one hundred and fifty-one years. She had the powers of her bodily strength as well as her faculties, until within a few years since, and they not so much diminished as to reduce her to second childishness.
