Her death was occasioned by her clothes taking fire fifteen weeks previous. - ------------------------------ In Essex, on the 18th inst. Widow Olive Hatch, in the 70th year of her age. -------------------------- In New York City on the 17th inst. Colonel Henry Rutgers, in the 85th year of his age. Col. Johnson, Merchant of Wallingford, to Miss Emeline Robinson. - ------------------------------ In Fairfax, Mr. Allen L. Nichols, of Plattsburgh, N.Y. to Miss Maria Soules, daughter of Josiah N. Soules, Esq. of the former place. - ------------------------------------------- DIED In this town on Wesnesday last, an infant child of Mr. Frederick Orvis, aged 10 mo. --------------------------- In Wiliston, on the 5th ult, Widow Rhoda Shaw, aged 75. - -------------------------- At Jefferson's Barracks, Mobile, on the 19th ult. in the 21st year of his age, Lieut. Charles May, of the 16th Reg. U.S. Infantry; a native of Vermont, and a graduate of the Military Academy of July last. He fell in a duel. - --------------------------------------- At Marsailes, in France, on the 2d of Jan last, Nathaniel H. Carter, Esq. of N.Y. City and it tells more about him. - ----------------------------- In Spanish Town, (Jamaica), on the 21st November Mrs. Judith Crawford, aged one hundred and fifty-one years. She had the powers of her bodily strength as well as her faculties, until within a few years since, and they not so much diminished as to reduce her to second childishness.
