Seeking any information on GUINDON and LADOUCEUR families who lived in Winooski area in late 1800's. My great-grandfather was Adolphe Guindon who married Adelina Ladouceur probably in the mid-1890s. Family legend has it that they were champion ice skaters in the area; and that Adolphe "stole a cow" so that he afford to marry his fiance. I am trying to identify Adolph and Adelina's parents. My best guess is that the parents emigrated from Canada and were very likely "metis" (French Canadian and Native American). Any information would be helpful. Sandra Vincent Richard Bolingbrook, IL
