His remains were interred on Monday following, with masonic honors, and an appropriate discourse was afterwards deliverd on the occasion by the Rev. DORWIN. - ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Friday 24 August 1810 OBITUARY Died in this town on Saturday last, ELIJAH CASTLE, aged about 5 years, son of MR. ISAAC CASTLE. He fell from a fence, against the edge of a scythe which was hanging on it, and cut his leg and thigh in such a shocking manner, that his death was occassioned by the loss of blood. Although it appears that the scythe was put away more carefully than usual, yet this should operate as a solemn warning to farmers, to be still more careful, in order to avoid such distressing accidents. - ---------------------------------------------------------------- Friday 7 September 1810 OBITUARY Died at sea on his passage from Havana to Washington, Lieut. The boat ran under in a severe gale from the Southeast. One man by the name of BLISS, only esscaped, by binding together a quantity obrooms, and committing himself to the waves. Mr. COOK was conducting these children to their father, WM. About 8 o'clock in the evening, he went from the cabin to the deck and fell over the side. He had been drinking very freely and it is supposed he ws intoxicated. He was spoken to several times while on deck, but made no reply; and a rope was thrown to him after he fell overboard, which he took no notice of, but sunk immediately.
