I am looking for information as to whether there was a family of Newtons in the high Falls area of VT In 1860s. My great grandfather was David Silas Newton. On a NY census record it lists his birth place as High Hail Vermont. I have not been able to find that there ever was such a place. His wife was born in Canada so I am now checking near the Canadian border.
