New to this list and would appreciate help locating info on ancestors francis Taylor and Martha Foss. Francis was supposedly born in Northfield but they have norecords; same for Martha who was born in Brattleboro; both c1800-20. Their son James also claimed on civil war pension papers that his pob was St. Albans and again, no records!. James ended up serving from Mass. and died there in 1884. Family lore has him having a brother who was a minister also. Any help or suggestions on how to locate this family greatly appreciated!!
