    3. Hi List, I am researching the John David family. John lived in Shelburne ca 1786-1793 then left for a few years to Canada. He came back around 1813. He lived in Shelburne for a short time before going to Hinesburg. A son of John, Truman David was born in 1789 in Shelburne left the county 1815-1817 and went to Steuben County, New York. He married Lorra Hamilton, daughter of Joseph Hamilton and Anna Hamilton. A daughter of John David, Ruth married Elisah Baker in Canada, and after his death came back to either Shelburne or Hinesburg. According to a history on her son she remarried in 1827. The 1860 census Ruth was living with a child in Michigan, her married name was McDonald. If any of the above connects with your family, I would like to hear from you to exchange information. I need to find out where John David died, the name of Ruth David Baker's second husband Mr. McDonald, and the date and location of death for Joseph Hamilton. Thanks! Gail Clayton gclayton@chorus.net
