I'm searching for the parents and family of Dr. Seymour Thatcher (b.d. 1800 Burlington, VT). His father was possibly Samuel Thatcher. Seymour Thatcher was a doctor and druggist in Hermon, Saint Lawrence, NY from 1826 until his death in 1868. He gratudated from the Medical College of the State University in Burlington and joined the St. Lawrence Medical Society in 1826. He was among the incorporators of the Congregational Church of Hermon in 1847 and served as one of its trustees. Dr. Thatcher was married to Elizabeth Smith born in 1801 in De Kalb. Their children were: Jane Caroline b. 1833; Sarah b. 1836 and died 1914; Clara M. b. 1838 and died 1907; and Edwin b 1840. Any information would be greatly appreciated. We've really hit a brickwall with Seymour.
