Hi -- I don't remember if I already posted my new info or not------Anyway, my FIDELIA CLOUGH who married RICHARD E. LOOMIS In 1837 in Charlotte, Chittenden Co. Vt. has turned out to be FIDELIA CLOFF/CLUFF (possibly still same Clough family).....Their son Homer lists both his parents as being "from Vermont" in the 1880 census.......FIDELIA was Native American from prob the Abenaki or related Algon. speaking tribes of Vermont...... This new infor has come from a 4th cousin who is also a descendant. A letter he received from the Phila. Archdiocesan Historical Research Center on Parish records lists Fidelia's last name as CLOFF......Her son,, Homer Loomis's death certificate lists the spelling as CLUFF..........I am inclined to go along with the church records......What do you think?????? Any advice, suggestions, etc. would be greatly appreciated.....Also --if I wrote to the Town Clerk of Charlotte, vt and requested a Marriage Record--what are the chances that they would have one from 1837????? Thanks......Juanita
