    3. Hello: My research is for early Blanchard family of Colchester and Smith ,through a Blanchard daughter. The earliest was in 1789 of Moses Blanchard in land records. His son, JOB and Abiel, and daughters Lucinda and one who married Elijah Wood. My line is through Abiel who was declared non-compos by court and had guardians appointed for him. His family-wife-Phoebe and children fled about 1816/ 1817 with her sister and family Lydia Benson, to Cortland , New York. They were there in Taylor area from 1820 census on. I would like to know where to get cemetery records for Colchester . The family owned land on Mathers Head and Potato Point in addition to land on the penisula. Looks like resort area today. Job and Moses died circa 1810/1813.
