I am of the opinion that the only other source would be to locate church records kept by the minister. Perhaps the Mormans have filmed these?? Does anyone on the list know if such records exist for the time frame of 1800-1850? First I wrote to Montpelior who responded that they had no records (and kept my money)...Then I wrote to the town clerk of Charlotte, Chittenden Co and this was her response: "Sorry -- No records were found -- our vital records only go back to approx. 1857." and she returned my check.....Now what???
