I note that there are several Robie's listed in 1840. There is also one Robbie listed for Chittenden Co., VT. ROBBIE: John Robbie Chittenden Co., Burlington, page 043. ROBIE: Edward Robie, Orange Co., Corinth, page 182 Ichabod Robie, Orange Co., Corinth, page 182 John Robie, Orange Co., Corinth, page 181 Jonathan Robie, Orange Co, Corinth, page 181 Jonathan Robie, Orange Co., Corinth, page 187 Richard Robie, Orange Co., Corinth page 181 Samuel Robie, Franklin Co, Fairfield, page 297 Sophia, Robie, Franklin Co., Fairfield, page 297 Of course the 1840 census did not list names except for the head of household. Several of these are listed on the same page in the census which indicates that they lived near each other and therefore might be presumed to be related. My page on the 1850 census does not extend to Robie. There are no Robbie's listed. Hope this helps.
