Have just been told by a family member that my Father: James Powers O'KELLY s/o Lawrence & Carolone POWER b 4 June 1881 - Shelburne, Chitt., Vt. worked in Shelburne, as a meat cutter/butcher, for a man w/surname of WEIR who owned a butcher/meat business there. It would have been ca 1895-1900 that he worked there. Also was told that the butcher block, used in this business, is housed in a museum in Shelburne. Can anyone give me info re this? If so, is there any history that *might* include people who worked for Mr. WEIR. I am not sure I am spelling this surname correctly. It is the way it sounded to me.
