Does anyone have any suggestions for obtaining naturalization records from the Burlington courthouse? I have a copy of my g-g-grandfather's application for naturalization (because it was submitted to a court in Minnesota when his widow was verifying her citizenship). It has useful information in it , but I am hoping to find more information in the "Declaration of Intent" which would have been filed about three years before the document I have. I understand the Declaration of Intent and Application for Naturalization didn't even have to be filed in the same court. I have already reviewed the Index to New England Naturalization Records 1791-1905 and found very few records from Burlington. Does any one know if the courthouse would do a records search? And if so, who would I write to. Thanks for any help. --
