My husband and I went to Vermont for our 16th wedding anniversary. That was in July and the scenery is absolutly gorgeous! He has relatives that settled in Underhill,VT and were part of the Irish Settlement. We saw a couple of graveyards and there gravestones. Copied a couple epitahs (too bad they don't have epitahs like that anymore.) saw the house that his ancestor built back in 1840. The house is still in use and the present owners were good enough to allow us in to see the inside. The ceiling beams are still there as well as some other fixtures. The wedding picture of his ancestor hold a place of honor in the living room. All in all-we had a very enjoyable three days. We stayed in a B & B the second night which had a great view of Mt. Mansfield. Very relaxing. Dreams of opening a B&B there. But... it's still good to get home. Dirty, crowded, hurried, crime laden and plenty of Dunkin Donuts!! Sylvia
