Naomi, b. 19 Feb. 1750, probably died in infancy. iii. Naomi, b. 3 March 1751; m. in 1770 to Mordecai SOPER, b. in England in 1756 and d. in Vermont in 1829. Hello, I am a descendant of Elijah Owen & Patience Wright, via their dau. Naomi who married Mordecai Soper. First, researchers have found Patience Wright may have been a grandchild of Abel & Rebecca Wright, not a child, because they would have been too old! Also, Elijah's son-in-law, Mordecai Soper, most likely was not born in Wales, in fact no birth place has yet been found. The earliest record of him is his marriage record where it says he was of the "Nine Partners". Mordecai had many children. In Milton are local place names such as Soper Falls and Sopertown.
