Dear Jerry your note almost gives my heart flip flops, as there was a Laura Chase Smith who lived with and wrote about her grandfather Bishop (Episcopal) Philander Chase of Ohio. Philander's siblings in adult life lived in Bethel, Royalton, Randolph, Burlington Vermont. However, her parents do not seem to match. I have found out that we (as in my immediate Chase) had relatives in Burlington & Essex Jct. VT---- so who knows what I will find! Also when I settle down a bit will look at the " Seven Generations of Aquila and Thomas Chase" the bible of that line of Chase, looking especially in the Burlington area.
