--WebTV-Mail-26393-202 Content-Type: Text/Plain; Charset=US-ASCII Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7Bit Jackie: This brings up a good point. I have been on a few lists that have been very active. Queries are actually responded to by others. There has been a list "person" who has some knowledge of available records and is willing to answer queries and post information from published sources. Apparently we don't have this on the VTCHITTE list. I believe the list person for Chittenden County is Mel Blevins. I don't recall his responding to any inquiries or posting any information to the list. Is there anyone available in Chittenden County willing to take on this task? If not, I fear that we are all just wasting our time. I have written to several people who have been willing to do "lookup's" and only one person bothered to respond (and I wrote her a thank you, even though she found nothing). If you find out who or where this general index is, please let us know. Is there any researcher on this list who would be able to look up a couple of names for me? If so, please email me privately. Jackie --WebTV-Mail-26393-202--
