    3. Hello Kim: I've checked my 1790 Federal Heads of Household Census for Vermont and found the following which might be of interest to you. In the 1790 Census I found a Samuel WELLS in Brattleboro, Windham Co., Vermont as follows: p. 47 1 free white male of 16 years or older including heads of families 2 free white males under 16 years 3 free white females including heads of families NOTE: There are also David, John, Oliver and Robert WELLS in Brattleboro. Born 8/1/1771, Burlington, Vt., (?) Died 3/20/1827, Orwell, Bradford County, Pa.Married the Sister of ASHAEL JOHNSON, JEMIMA JOHNSON, in Orwell. Johnsons are said to be from Burlington, Conn. The two different Burlingtons are confusing, because local histories of Bradford County list the two men as arriving together (?). Anyone with any information about WELLS In the Burlington Vt., area, or JOHNSONS, or a direction you might suggest that I take would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance for any and all of your replies, Kim Farwell Forsman
