    3. Hi Everyone - There is an American-Canadian Gen. Soc. Library, PO Box 668, Manchester, NH. 03105. Visited there in 1995. Outstanding collection of Church records from Quebec, and probably other E. Canadian Provinces. Only had 2 hours to closing and had to leave without exploring all of its holdings. In Burlington, the University of Vermont Library was full of historical data... well worth a visit. In Shelburne, VT, we found many records of Dee's Pierson, Van Ornum, (Van Arnhem) and Russell families, in the Pierson Public Library. The families had moved from NJ before 1775, and were directly involved in the Revolution. The entire history is there... worth a visit. In the Shelburne Town Hall we found genealogical records on file as well as the official Town records. In the Charlotte Town Hall, we found more land records with more family info. Almost all Towns have published town histories which contain much genealogical info about early settlers. Look in "The Handy Book for Genealogists" publ. by Everton Publishers, PO Box 368, Logan, Utah, 84321, for addresses of Gen Societies and County Court Houses, as well as valuable printed sources. Phone numbers (802) of County Clerks are also listed. The Handy Book is found in all Gen. Libraries. Good hunting... Dee & Tom Doyle, Fresno, CA
