    3. Since I live in a small town far from a genealogy library, I don't have ready access to the "Handy Book..." Could someone explain the changes when the changes took place re Addison, Caledonia, and Chittenden counties? When I looked at the 1800-1830 censuses, some of the same towns seemed to appear in these various counties. Since my ancestor's name (common as it turns out) appears in two different counties, I'm well confused.
