Thank you Ruthie. The information you supplied me regarding Charles Learned and Polly Washburn was very interesting. However, I believe there would be at least two generation between the Charles Learned you found and the one I have. My Charles was married to Augusta Octavia Stevens who was born Feb 4, 1864 in Waterford, Maine. According to the obituary that was published for Augusta O. Learned, there was a sister to Charles Bert Learned called to Waterford, Me from Vermont for her funeral. Augusta died April 26, 1923. The obituary also stated that Augusta had had 5 children. Three of them were at her funeral. Charles Bert Learned Jr., Sadie B. Pennock and Addie A. Olmstead.
