Hi , Great to see activity here. My Blanchard was from Colchester. This is early 1800. Moses and Job Blanchard who died about 1810 and are buried I hope in a cemetery with a name on a headstone. Records indicate they lived at Mathers Head or Potato Point. Probably where resort area is today. Abiel Blanchard was declared non compos by court and was assigned a guardian. His wife and family left before 1820 to reside with her sister and family , the Bensons, in Cortland Co Ny. A son James Blanchard born ca 1807 , was our line. There was a Hannah Blanchard who married a Smith and a son, by another daughter named Elijah Wood. Is there an old burying ground in the Colchester vicinity that could have records?
