I am only researching one family from Colchester, Chittenden County. I have been stuck for years. My gg grandmother was Hannah T. Ames, born Dec. 3, 1815 in Colchester. She died Dec. 5, 1864 in Illinois. She was married in 1838 in Illinois so her family moved from Vermont before that time.
