I have been looking for the marriage record of John Timothy Kelley of Rutland and Margaret Ellen Lynch of Burlington for about 6 years. I have tried the Vermont Archives in Middlesex, Visited the Court House In Burlington 3 times, and just heard from the Cathedral in Burlington that do not have a record of the marriage but have the Baptism records of their 3 sons john Edward born March 29, 1900, Francis born February 10, 1902 and of Walter born October 19,1904. Would it have been easier for them to get married in an adjoining state than in Vermont? Margaret would have been about 20 yers old in 1898 and John about 25.
