This list has not had much activity lately. One of the other lists I am on suggested that we submitt our brickwalls. Here is my brickwall... Joseph Hamilton was an early settler at Shelburne, arriving in the late 1780's. I have not been able to find much information on him. Joseph and his wife Anna (b ca 1765, died 1815) had 6 known children: 1). Giles b 1790, died 1795 at Shelburne. 2). Lorra b 1792, married Truman DAVID in 1812 at Shelburne and died at Steuben Co. NY after 1865. My ancestor. 3) Purlonia b 1793 died 1795. 4) Infant died 1795. 5) Joseph b 1795 married Betesy SPEAR 1816 at Shelburne. The book "THE DESCENDANTS OF GEORGE SPEAR" tells that Joseph left his wife and community and a large debt and was never heard of again. 6) Malinda "Linda", b 1802 married Levi Hurd SPEAR (brother to Betesy). Malinda died in 1891 at Highgate, Franklin Co. Vermont. Gail Clayton
