Would anyone be willing to check the area for Kehoe information? http://www.geocities.com/Heartland/Plains/8798/kehoe.html/ Lists my Lines. Thank you so much Pam Kehoe Wisconsin I would be glad to help anyone in this area.
Would appreciate hearing from anyone researching surnames: KELLY/O'KELLY/LEAVY/LEARY/O'LEARY/POWER/NAYLOR. Am also interested in surname ROOT. This is not family connected but find that a Judge ROOT & his wife raised my Paternal Aunt, Emily Jane O'KELLY, d/o Lawrence & Caroline POWER. Emily was approx. 12 yrs of age when *taken-in* by the Judge - ca 1895. The O'KELLY family lived in Shelburne (1876 - 1920 >>>) so am *assuming* the Judge may have been that area also (possibly Burlington ??). A sincere thank you, in advance, for any help. Bev

I noticed at the bottom of Beth's message she listed the other names she is researching besides the one in her querry. That's a pretty good idea, it would give us a better chance of connecting with others. Maybe we should all start doing that? Frank Wells WELLS; LEVICK;HAMMOND; CAMPBELL; LEDUC;GAUTHIER

In 1867-70 and maybe later, S. (Seraph?) Louisa Bowe is living in Hinesberg, Chittenden County, Vermont. She has a connection to someone in the Bowe family(Proably the line of captian Daniel Bow(e) or his brother Jacob Bowe that came to Pittsfield, Rutland, County, Vermont from Middleton, Ct in the late 1780's. S. Louisa could be the daughter of a Daniel Bowe JR, or his brothers John Bowe, or Peleg Bowe, or could she be possibly a wife to John Bowe or ???? Can anyone help solve this? We know this, Daniell Bowe came to Wisconsin from Pittsfield in about 1844. His brother John Bowe may have come west as well. John Bowe may have disappeared or died, but at any rate some land owned in S.E. Wisconsin by one of the Bowe folks mentioned above was sold and the mortage was held by S. Louisa Bowe, living at Hinesberg, Chittenden, Couty, Vermont and was satisfied in 1870. Can anyone help in discovering who Louisa was, her ancestoers, family, and what happened to her? Rob Bowe Austin, Mn
Dear List, I am trying to find out what became of my great-great-grandfather's sister, Marinda AVERY, born in Ellsworth, N.H., about 1815, daughter of Andrew and Sarah (Willey) Avery. She married, in 1834, Rev. Reuben A. HODGE of Rumney, N.H., born there on 25 Feb. 1811, son of Thomas and Lucy (Webber) Hodge of Rumney. They moved from Rumney, N.H., to Fairfax, Vt., in 1841, where he became pastor of the Baptist Church there. He ministered at churches in Westford, Vt. (about 1850); Orwell, Vt. (about 1860), and Monkton, Vt., where he last appeared about 1866 or 1867. He moved away from there at that time, and apparently left Vermont. Where did he go? Marinda is last seen in the 1860 census of Orwell, but I do not think she died there. Their children seem to have been (first three born in Rumney, N.H., and the rest in Vermont, as noted): 1.) Alma, b. ca. 1835, living in 1850 census, age 15; n.f.r. 2.) Walter, b. ca. 1837, living in 1850 census, age 17; n.f.r. 3.) Caleb N., b. ca. 1839, mar. Orwell, Vt., 27 Sept. 1862, Sarah Emma Spaulding, and he died there 21 Aug. 1863, leaving one son, Thomas Spaulding Hodge, whose family has been traced, but they know nothing of the others. 4.) Idota J., b. Fairfax or Westford, Vt., ca. 1848, living in 1860; n.f.r. 5.) Edna I., b. Westford, 3 Nov. 1851, d. there 13 May 1852, age 6 mos. 10 days (gravestone). 6.) Hiram H., b. probably Westford, ca. 1853, living in 1860 census; n.f.r. 7.) Edna A., b. Orwell, d. there 3 May 1861, age illegible on Vermont vital record. Can anybody tell where this family went? They evidently all moved away somewhere. Have been trying for years to track them down. I thought the Baptist records would help, but all I could find out was Rev. Hodge resigned his position in Monkton about 1866 or 1867, whereupon they presumably moved away. Any help greatly appreciated. The published Hodge genealogy does not help at all. I'm stuck. They are out there somewhere! Best wishes, George Sanborn

Does anyone have any information about a John Allen who was married to a Johanna Webber, probably in the late 1700's. They had 3 children and then he apparently died and Johanna married David Shaw. After their marriage they moved to St. Lawrence Co. NY. It appears that David Shaw died about 1837 (?) and that at least one of his sons (David) was raised by his aunt Betsey Shaw Day in Vermont. ANY information about John Allen, or especially Johanna Webber Allen Shaw or David Shaw is very welcome.
