Hi List: I have been reading on film early newspapers of Chitt., Co., VT. I sent an e-mail to this address DOL_ILL_MAIL@dol.state.vt.us Meg Page VT Dept of Libraries 109 State St. Montpelier VT 05609-0601 I e-mailed her my address and she sent me a list of newspapers of Addison and Chitt., counties that could be ordered inter-library loan with the following instructions: When you get the information, initiate the requests at your public library. We will lend up to 4 reels at a time, for a 30 day time period. There is no charge for the loans. Your librarian can use an ALA form or request through OCLC. Our OCLC symbol is VSL. I went to the college and picked up the rolls of film and brought them back to my home town ten miles away and can read them at the LDS Family History Center (I don't have a film reader) at my leisure. Later I'll post some of the interesting info I have found just to give you an idea of the great things you can find. Joyce Hathaway
Dear Pam----if you happen to run across a FIDELIA CLOUGH who married a RICHARD E. LOOMIS on June 9, 1837, I would be eternally grateful..... Juanita
Malcolm, thank you very much for the information. I can see a trip to the east coming up next summer! I was there in 1986, but knew nothing at all about all my ancestors buried in VT, CT, MA and NY at that time. Had the cart before the horse!
