This was my wife's grandmother, and her father remembered very little as his parents "Parted company" about 1912,at St. Albans, VT., when he was about 5 years old. He was the 3rd child born to the couple. One was born 7-15-1905 and died 8-30-1905, one was stillborn, 5-10-1906, and my wifes father Roland Arthur, born 7-14-1907. I do not know if the divorced, or she died, returned to Sweden, or remarried. I do know that Arthur Charles remarried by 1913, where not known.Can anyone in Sweden, Canada, or USA help me. This is a great site and great idea which needs more publicity and more volunteers. This is the url for Random Act of Genealogical Kindness, a volunteer look-up movement to help us do research for each other. Who hasn't thought, "If I could just get there and look up this one record..." or "If I could just get a picture of the gravestone...". Here is a site which asks us to do some research where we live for others who will do reseach where they live for others (which could be you). Eventually you get a network that can get research done almost anywhere if enough people participate. Please check it out and pass the word on. I do not know when she immigrated or where. Would be glad to have that info also. I have no idea where the wedding took place. But, The were living in Milton, Vt when their children were born. Florence Margaret,7-15-1905 died 8-30-1905 and Mabel Alice 5-10-1906who was stillborn, and Roland Arthur, 7-14-1907, My wife's father. It could have been anywhere in Vermont, Ct, or Lower Canada. They seemed to be a "moving" family, and living that close to the border, could very well have occurred in Canada. I am researching the Benoir name, Joseph, Pierre, Nelson and Usam (?). I know Joseph immigrated to Burlington Vt. 1851 when he was 7 yrs. old. They came from Canada and lived in Montreal and maybe Nova Scotia. On the Burlington page Joseph is listed on Household Heads 1882-1883. Joseph owned textile mills later in his life and had many patents on textile mach. Any information would be appreciated. Sara Jean

Hi, Could not find much from Hemenway's Gazetteer but will send this. Vol. 2 pg. 284 Richford, Vermont Franklin County. Excerpt, In 1825, Elijah Crane and Orville Kimpton of the Sheldon circuit, assisted by two English missionaries from St. Armand, Matthew Lang and William Squires, commenced a series of meetings, from which quite a revival occurred; and a class was formed and attached to the Sheldon circuit, vix. of Dr. Alvin Lusk and wife Rebecca Goff, Rebecca Carr, Porter Bliss and wife, and within a few days Jay Powell and wife, making up eight members; and that same fall the number was increased to 30 or 40. (Sheldon, Vermont Franklin County pg. 380 Vol. 1 Among the preachers who have been in Sheldon circuit, we find the following: In the year 1829, Wm. Todd and Jacob Leonard--in the year 1833, Luman A.
