Searching for any information on the family of Abraham SWEET (1769-1853) and his wife Thankful Brand. Abraham was born in Hinesburg, Chittenden Co., and died in Starksboro, Addison Co. Believe their son Ira SWEET (born 1803, Hinesburg-died 1874, Starksboro) is father of Anna Cordelia SWEET, who married Abraham BUNKER, 1844. Any clues greatly appreciated. Thank you, Nancy Bunker Bowen

Does anyone on this list have the GORDON surname? They are Robert GORDON, born in Scotland, and his wife Elizabeth HARWOOD, also born in Scotland. They had 11 children, the youngest being Grace Estelle born Apr 5, 1890 in Burlington. Looking for any information on this couple and the 10 other children. Susan in Florida
Hello folks, I am trying to find who the parents of Zoe BELGARDE (married John Plourde 1859 at Burlington). I have been totally unsuccessful. At this point, I would be happy to get any info on any BELGARDE (before 1860). This might at least give me a starting point when I visit Vermont in April. The name of the town where a Belgarde lived may be beneficial when looking through census records. Name variations could include BELGARD or BELGUARD. For the record, I visited Vermont last year. I found the locals to be outstanding, friendly citizens, an asset to our country. If any Vermont folks happen to wander in to Western Md., I hope they will stop by my house (we might even swirl a little beer). I hold these folks in high esteem and if someone happens to help me out with this inquiries, my opinion of the Vermont folk will surely escalate (might even throw a few steaks on the grill to go with the beer).

All I know is that I was having trouble understanding why one Vermont ancestor in one census listed birthplace as NY, then the next census he said he was born in Vermont! Hello, I am new to this list and I need some help. I need someone who lives in Burlington who is willing to do some on-site research for me. If they have a card file or something that someone could go through for births, I need a lookup for other children born to a Robert GORDON and Elizabeth HARWOOD between 1880 and 1890. My grandmother was the last child born to them on April 5, 1890. They had 11 children all together. I hope someone will be willing to help me, as I live in Florida, a long way from Vermont. I will pay for your time and any copies. Susan Newell
