    2. Hi All Just a quick note about St. Joseph's, They were known as the French Church so most of the names are in French and I know very little French. I you send me just a last name you may not get any results, the spouses name is a big help some times with the English to French name conversions. Also a time frame is very helpful. I also cannot do a look up for all marriages of a specific surname. My typing ability is just 2 fingers so 10 to 20 marriages is to much, I am more than happy to do 2 or 3. The book is my personal copy so the offer is always open. I received a big response so it may take some time to get through them all.     3. I'm looking for birth information on Daniel B. NICHOLS born approximately 1822 in one of the towns on the Vermont side of Lake Champlain perhaps Burlington. He married Harriet B. Thatcher in 1857 in Ticonderoga, Essex County, NY and them moved to Mazon, Grundy County, IL. He lived there until sometime in the mid 1870's when he and two children, Henry and Lucy, returned to Vermont. Lucy married James George Blanchard, Jr in September 1881 in Ticonderoga, Essex County, NY. Daniel died in Ticonderoga, Essex County, NY on December 19, 1894 and is buried there. Does this ring a bell with anyone? If so I would appreciate any help available .... this ancestor is one of those who have been eluding me for a long time. Steve Blanchard

    3. I am trying to varify some information obtained on the family of JOSEPH BLANCHARD,{c1777-1834) and wife Betsey who were reported to be in Chittenden Co., VT at least by 1820. Their children are reported to include Betsey, Lucy Ann, Charles S., Samantha, Norman born 1806, Joel, Samuel, Elisha, Miranda & Henry. Ancestry of Joseph uncertain. Anyone able to shed any light on this family would be of great assistance to me as I am stalled at this point. In the 1790 Census I found a Samuel WELLS in Brattleboro, Windham Co., Vermont as follows: p. 47 1 free white male of 16 years or older including heads of families 2 free white males under 16 years 3 free white females including heads of families NOTE: There are also David, John, Oliver and Robert WELLS in Brattleboro.
