Hi Harmon, Silas was born we believe in Burke, VT. He shows up in the 1860 census in Lake County Ohio. He married Emily Phelps in Ohio in 1856. Lyman also shows up in Ohio Census living with Jane & Charles Foster. ( we believe Jane to be Lymans daughter) There were alot of Thurbers migrating to the area at that time but researchers keep putting him with Lyman, so I am trying to make a concrete connection.
