Greetings from a new member in the Old World. Am I right that Lyndonville is in Caledonia County? I'm trying to find out whether Esther Theodora GUILLEMARD d. there in the 1940s. She was the widow of Arthur Franklin ('Frank') Guillemard, who had been a civil engineer in South America. Esther's father was British chaplain in Valparaiso, which is how they met. She was b. in England in 1870. It's not impossible that Frank d. in Vermont circa 1937. Incidentally, he was named after Sir John Franklin, husband of his 2nd cousin, lost on an Arctic expedition a year or two before his birth. None of which explains what they were doing in Vermont: perhaps they just liked the scenery. If anyone has any bright ideas on how to find out more, please let me know. Hugh Casement
