Hi, everybody: I have strong feelings about the election in Vermont. So do you, quite possibly. If you are an American citizen, I hope that you have voted, or will. That being said, nothing more needs to appear on this list about the election. The following items of special interest to Vermont genealogy are the *ONLY* exceptions: 1. races involving former members of the administrations of Calvin Coolidge or Chester A. Arthur; or, 2. victorious candidates who have as part of their election platform a pledge to return Vermont to independence; or, 3. referenda making genealogical research either illegal, or a required subject in the schools, of any part of Vermont; or, 4. elections returns involving Vermont Whigs or Federalists.
