I have not been able to get back to the computer and check for mail til now and wanted to get back to you immediately. I have already gotten copies of two articles that were in the Caledonia Record in Dec and Jan of 1885 and 86. - One about the shooting and one about the trial. The folks who sent them to me said they did not see any obituary listed. Thanks for offering to look for the newspaper details! I know he was killed there and figured he must have been buried nearby. As I read my email I see that several kind folks have sent me suggestions as to how to find him, and I now have some new avenues to explore. Thanks again for your thoughtfulness and willingness to do a search for me.
