    3. I'm looking for a cemetery in or near Lyndon, VT. My gg grandfather was killed (in a fight) in that town in 1885, and I'd like to find where he was buried. Edgar HAYES d. Dec. 27, 1885 in Lyndon Does anyone have cemetery listings for the area, or ideas as to how to locate his burial place? Thanks for any assistance! Lorie, New Jersey

    3. Hi Lorie, I think you are looking for Lyndon Center, Vermont, that is near Barnet, St.Johnsbury, and Mc Indoe Falls. Try the Barnet Town Clerks office, or send me his name an I will see if I have him on my listing.     3. Lyndon Center Cemetery is located in Lyndon -- other sections include Lyndonville, VT. This is NOT St. Johnsbury. The cemetery is currently still under more than 2 feet of snow; the Town Clerk has books showing burials, but I don't think they are indexed. However, armed with the date you have given, I will check microfilm of The Caledonian Record newspaper for that time period and see what it says. It may take a few days to get to Lyndon State College (where the microfilm and readers are) but I will get to it.
