Good morning list, Can anyone tell me a little about the Brides and Grooms cards that are on file at the ACGS? Are the originals still on file with the town clerks? One has been found for my gr-grandmother's marriage on May 1, 1872, but the name for my gr-grandfather is very had to read. I know what it is, but a researcher read it as "Powers" and it should be PINNEY. These two names don't have much in common. They were married in Burke by a Thos. Trevillian, minister according to our family bible. Thanks for any help. Judy, in NC
Dear J. Penland, I have received copies from St. Johnsbury Town Clerks office. It had basic information such as parents, birth place etc. My gr. gr. grandparents had one in 1870's also.
