I've noticed the postings on the list about a Harvey family in VT and I am hopeful that someone will recognize a mystery person in my genealogy: Samuel Gilman [July 8, 1784, Gilmanton, NH - September 7, 1864 Antwerp TWP, Van Buren Co, MI] and his wife Judith Morrill June 10, 1790 Danville, VT - January 24, 1848, Antwerp TWP, Van Buren Co, MI] named their 2nd child and first son David Harvey Gilman. David was b in Wheelock September 8, 1813. Samuel and Judith's first child is named for Judith's mother Sarah Hoyt. There is no known Harvey in Judith's pedigree but the naming pattern this family followed suggests that David was named for an ancestor, possibly in his father's pedigree. Samuel's father is believed to be Edward Gilman, son of Antipas Gilman and Lydia Thing of Exeter and Gilmanton, NH. However, I have no information on Edward's wife and Samuel's mother. Does anyone recognize the name David Harvey? Or the names of any of the others? Thanks for any assistance
