Hi list, My gr-grandparents were married in Burke, VT in 1872. My question is, would there have been any newspaper that might have had announcements of marriages? Or, would there be any other kind of publication? I have contacted the town clerk only to be told there was no record of my ancestors. The information I seek is a confirmation of the birth of my gr-grandmother and the marriage mentioned previously. Here is the infor I seek: Luella R. Etheridge b. January 24, 1845 in Burke, Caledonia, VT d/o Asa C. and Arsenith (George) Etheridge. Alfred Frank Pinney m. Luella R. Etheridge in Burke, Caledonia, VT on May 1st, 1872.
