John -- I have been working on the Gray family of Sheffield, VT for many years. First -- they were probably from an original James Gray and his wife Tamson, but I have found absolutely NO documentation that her last name was Hillary. Second -- I have real doubts that it was through James' son, William, but even more doubts that William's wife was a Foss. I am open to whatever sources and proofs you may have found, and would welcome hearing from you, or anyone else who has any real data on this family.
