I received the birth record for my great-grandmother, Cynthia MILES (born Feb 7, 1864) in Wheelock). Her parents are listed as John MILES (born in Eaton NH) and "Emily" whose birthplace is listed as Salem. I could not find a Salem VT on my present-day map; does someone know if this was a town/village in VT that has since changed names? I know there is a Salem NH which could possibly be the locale. Also, do any of these MILES names sound familiar to anyone who is researching Caledonia County? I know there were some MILES families there, having seen them mentioned on this list. I do not have any other names (siblings etc) for any of these MILES. Thanks in advance for any assistance or direction anyone can provide. Joyce Bard
