A lot of the Gilkersons and Strobridges moved to Illinois in the 1850's and I have not figured out who stayed behind. I am assuming each is not too common of a name. This is a new index, published in 2000 by Heritage Quest. It is really nice! It lists heads of household, primarily. It lists their name, age, gender, race, birthplace (state or country), county and town of residence, along wiht series roll # and page. I am willing to do lookups over the next week, as I can fit them in. In general, I will not be able to entertain requests for all of the people with a certain surname, unless it is real oddball! Please be as specific as you can when making your request, telling me what you know about the person you seek, esp. their approximate age in 1870 and possible place of residence.
