Child's History of Caledonia County, VT My great aunt gave me lineage research that she had performed in order to join the DAR. In her notes she references page 261as containing information on my BALL line. (James BALL & Abigail STARR and their children. I am also very interested in James Bradley BALL and Rhoda PALMER. James Bradley was the son of James and Abigail and Rhoda was the daughter of Charles PALMER). If anyone owns this book would you please let me know whatelse, if anything, it says pertaining to my line. Thanks, Cherryl [email protected]

Hello I want to thank every person I have had the great opportunity of sharing E-mail information. This is one of the greatest & friendliest web site I have spent time on. I am always looking to find ways of tracing my family, but at times I have been able to help people at the same time & that is a special thing for one of the greatest things we have to give is time & it slips away to fast. Also I have not seen a derogatory E-mail at all like I have seen on some of the other web sites. It will take us over a week to move to Masa Arizona & I will be back trying to find more information. Wow, it is a good thing for spell check, at times my fingers & my brain fight with each other Thank you Art Kay [email protected]

Hi all -- If there are members of the Caledonia list that are not on the Vermont-L, I wanted to make sure your know that an incredibly kind list member whose name is Brenda (in Alberta) has been transcribing early VR's from St. Johnsbury from two microfilms she was on loan, and posting them in installments. You can find them in the list archives at: http://www.goodlyheritage.org/us/vt or http://www.geocities.com/heartland/prairie/9803/us/vt Seems like they would be an excellent and welcome addition to the Caledonia Co. GenWeb page, too, if Brenda is willing. Cindy Walcott Grand Isle, VT

Hello. Can anyone help me with information on the name of James Edward Tracy living in your area. He moved to Wheelwright Massachusetts in 1910. After several years of being told Wheelwright did not exist I found it as a part of Hardwick. Thank you for your time. Art Kay [email protected]
Hi, I don't have much on Barnstead. However--There is a history on Barnstead written c.1850 that is available on microfiche. The Carlsbad Public Library here in California has it, but the genealogy collection will be unavailable until the lst of the year (library move and remodeling). The Sutro Library in San Francisco undoubtedly has it, and if you are still in California, you can get it through interlibrary loan from them. It seems to be relatively complete and includes a list of deaths, and possibly marriages and births as well. Hope this helps Deborah J.
