Hello I am writing an article about Caleb Morgan, b. 1716 CT, died 1775 in Pownal, Bennington Co. VT. He and his wife, Lydia Rogers, had at least 9 children, 3 of whom lived and died in Pownal. Several others moved to Poultney, (Rutland Co.). A few of them kept moving further north in Vermont, some ending up in Franklin Co (Enosburg area) and one to Rochester. There is another group that originated in Pownal and moved two generations later to Cambridge VT. I'm looking for known descendants so I can include your family in my article. At this point I expect to do the surname plus one generation; in other words, I would like information about anyone who retains the surname Morgan through direct descent, plus the marriage information for any Morgan women with their children. One of my questions what became of the family of Caleb Jr. He was a Rev War vet who fought at the Battle of Bennington when he resided in Pownal. His pension records allow us to trace his course first to Poultney and finally to Rochester where he died. I have 4 known children for him, but the trail ends there. I'd like to know more about his family. The children of Caleb that I know the least about are Nathan Morgan and Jonathan Morgan. I believe both of them moved to Middletown or Poultney, and Nathan moved on to Jericho, Enosburg, and Sheldon, VT. However, I dont know his wife's name, and have only one known child for him. I know very little about Jonathan, because there are at least two cousins by this name, and I find them indistinguishable. They would have been born between 1750 and 1768. Any help or discussion would be appreciated. Carolyn Adams S Ryegate VT .,
