I am researching a Flavilla Harris, who was a daughter of Thomas and Achsah (--?--) Harris. On 10 Feb. 1816, in Bennington Probate Court, Axsah[?] Harris was named guardian for Flavilla. I believe that Thomas must have died prior to that time. On 17 Aug. 1813, Axa Harris and child were warned out of Woodford, Bennington Co., VT. There is a Thomas Harris listed in the Roster for the War of 1812-1814 as serving in company of Capt. Charles Follett, 11th Regt. on Pay Roll for Jan. & Feb. 1812. Ref. R&L 1812, AGO Page 12. I do not know where this company and regiment might have served or if this could be the Thomas Harris I am seeking. If it is, perhaps he died in the war and that is why he does not appear to be living when Axa and child were warned out of Woodford. Does anyone recognize these people? Thanks for any help you can give me. Joann Nichols
