My grandparents were Louis Pierre GALIPEAU ( GALIPO ) & Carrie Elizabeth BENT. Louis was born on August 6 1884 & died on Sept 10 1913 in Indiana. Other than his marrriage I have no other definite information about him. I am looking for information on his family - parents, brothers & sisters etc.. Carrie & Louis were married on Jan 7 1907 & there were 3 sons. She was also married to George STEWART. Carrie was born on Jan 9 1885 in Bennington & died on June 27 1972 in Burlington, Vermont. Her parents were Alonzo & Emily ( BRACEY) BENT & she was the youngest of 9 children. Alonzo & Emily BENT were married on Dec 25 1860.. Alonzo was son of George & Adeline ( KNAPP ) BENT. Emily's parents were Asahel & Caroline ( RICE ) BRACEY I know that the GALIPEAU'S used several different variations in the spelling of this surname so it makes it harder to find out Louis' ancestors. My wife's is as follows: Mary Agnes Galipeau born 24-May-1868 in Hudson Falls NY married William Conant Robinson on 7-Sep-1892 in Bennington VT. At the time of her marriage she was living in Bennington and listed her parents as Anthony Galipeau and Lizzie Blow. The death record gives her father as Peter Galipeau born in Canada. I haven't attempted to resolve the Peter vs. Anthony conflict, possible he was "Peter Anthony" or vice versa. As I said, I've not researched it but could take time to correspond and dig into it a bit. If there is any intersection between your line and this one, I can provide good data on the Robinson side of the marriage.
