Miss Mildred Bentley, accompanied by Josephine Ullian and Miss Bean of Pittsfield, Mass., spent the week-end at the home of the former's parents, Mr. and Mrs. R. M. Bentley. Miss Amy Mattison, who attends school at Castleton Normal, spent the week-end with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. N. Mattison. Charles Fiske recently sold the old store property, occupied by Gerald Ennis, to W. E. Bacon. Mrs. W. N. Mattison had as guests in honor of her birthday Sunday, Mrs. Angelia Mattison, Mr. and Mrs. Ira Mattison, son, James, of Glastenbury ; Mr. and Mrs. La Varie Harrington, son, Leo, Mr. and Mrs. R. D. Mattison,daughter, Edith, of Shaftsbury ; Mr. and Mrs. Norman Mattison, Mrs. Sarah Budro of East Arlington ; Mr. and Mrs. John Mattison of Manchester and her family. Mr. and Mrs. Stewart Mayhew of Bennington spent Sunday at Mr. and Mrs. H. O. Holden's.
