Source, Rutland Vt. Herald--Sat.June 3, 1950. WEST RUPERT, Vt. June 2--Louis Skidmore, 42, died early today in the Cambridge, N.Y. hospital where he had been for two weeks following months of illness. He was born in Sandgate, Vt., the son of Charles and Lydia Skidmore. He married Miss Elizabeth Trueheart of Rupert, Vt. and the couple spent most of there life here. Besides his wife, he is survived by four daughters, Marion, Eleanor, Betty and Geraldine ; two sons, Louis and Raymond; his mother, three sisters, Mrs. Mabel Rowlands of Shushan, N.Y., Mrs. Hazel Whiddon of Salem, N.Y., and Mrs. Daisy Wideawake of Hebron, N.Y.; and six brothers, William of Dorset, Vt., Harry, George and Floyd of Sandgate, Vt., Millard of Bennington, Vt. and Kenneth of Salem, N.Y. The funeral will held at the home Sunday at 2 p.m. , the Rev. J. Paul Spargo of the Church of Christ in West Rupert, Vt. officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery in Salem, N.Y.
