    2. Source,Rutland Vt.herald--Tues.July 1, 1958. BENNINGTON, Vt. Walter A. Parmenter, 81, a native of Pittsfield, Mass.,and long time resident of North Bennington, Vt., died Monday at a nursing home where he had been a patient for six years. He was an invalid for nine years. Mr. Parmenter was the son of the late Guilford D.and Mary Susan (Allen) Parmenter. He was a former member of the Grange and Modern Forester of America in Pittsfield. After coming to North Bennington he was employed as a carpenter and also worked at the Keough Bros. Woodworking plant and the Cushman Mfg. Co. Survivors include his wife, the former Marion L. Winship of Danby, Vt., whom he married June 18, 1901 in Danby, V.; also six daughters, Mrs. Ralph Maynard of Pittsfield, Mrs. Roy Stratton of Rutland, Vt., Mrs. Charles Kelley of Brattleboro, Vt., Mrs. Kenneth Robinson of North Bennington, Vt., and Mrs. Merrill Ackert and Mrs. Edward Marotte , both of Danby, Vt., and 27 grandchildren, and 43 great- grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. from the Walbridge Funeral Home with Rev. Charles J. Parsley. pastor of the North Bennington Congregational Church, officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A committal service will be held at Scottsville Cemetery, Danby, Vt. Wednesday at 3:30 p.m.
