    3. Is there anyone out there who knows of anyone searching for information on the Fosters in the town of Manchester? In 1780, Josiah Foster of Dorset served under Abraham Underhill in the Revolutionary War. His wife's name was "Marian/Marion" and their oldest child was born in 1773. Their children were Deborah, Leonard, Rosannah, Marian, & Ransom. Apparently they were not there long, as they apparently left no paper trail! (Not found on a census.) In the 1881 Smith family history, it states that Nathan Smith (born 1771 in Manchester) married Rosannah "Foster". She was born in 1777, per the etching on her tombstone in Indiana. But we can not find a Foster who has a daughter "Rosannah/Roseanna/Roxanna" born in September 1777. The family history also states that Rosannah's family came from Connecticut. Does anyone have any suggestions how I could find some more clews? MaryLu in Minnesota
